  1. we LOVE artichokes!! Boil them and drain them. and dip the leaves in melted butter... you only slide your teeth off the bottom of each leaf to eat the soft "flesh". Then you get to the center of it (the heart) and that is the best part!! Ethan will actually eat this... he ates vegetables so that is pretty good if he'll eat these!! Just search online on how to prepare the artichoke. I snip the tips off so they aren't poking you and cut about 1/2 -1 in. off the top before I boil it.

here is one link i found for ya:

  2. i'm excited to try it on monday. what time do they open the buying? i didn't actually sit and read your first one until last tuesday so i missed last week. i think that is a really good deal for all that produce. and artichokes are really yummy, it just seems so wasteful since you really don't eat much of it, but they taste good. i think i have a dip recipe... i'll have to check.

  3. Dad loves a spinach/artichoke dip to die for and we love artichokes on pizza!! I think 15.00 is a good deal for what you are getting. Dad said the mangos are $1.00 a piece alone.

  4. Yes, those mangoes are a buck a piece. Good deal. It's fun to get some different things too. Forces you to try new things you otherwise would pass by.
I saw Martha Stewart make artichokes on the Today show. It was pretty much like Heidi said. Cut the tips and end off, and boil them. Check online for how long though, I don't remember that part. Can't say I ever actually ate one though.
