July's Goal

June's issue of the Ensign had many good articles in it that goes with my goal. Please read the article on page 13 and the article by Elder Bednar on page 16. This month goal is to focus more on our families and personal relationships with one another, instead of our many media devices. I am not saying to give it all up for the whole month but limit your activity. When your family is together, be together, playing a game, reading books, going for a walk, or even just sitting and talking, just interact with each other and build your relationships. Try to avoid just sitting in front of the TV, computer, or anything that take your attention away from your family or spouse. Husband and wives use the time you spend surfing on the internet, watching TV, playing video games and spend that time together, doing something that you can interact with one another, work on building your most important relationships. If we spent the time we spend with electronic devices to enhance our family relationships and stay connected with our loved ones our homes will be blessed.

  2. Wow, good one Ron. I'm glad you came up with this one. Sometimes I wish we could remove all that media junk from ever existing.
